Pink Pompeii was a song that Nan Kemberling wrote about the ants that she accidentally murdered with rose-colored latex wall paint. She sang the song with Rob Gal in the acoustic cello-guitar duo, Da Dum. In late 2009 the band plugged in, grew from two to three, and Pink Pompeii was born. Today Pink Pompeii includes five musicians.
